Senior Holiday Giving

The holiday season is a time of connection, warmth, and generosity — yet for many seniors in our community, it can also be a time of loneliness. This year, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton is launching our First Annual Senior Holiday Giving Event, an initiative grounded in compassion and the belief that no one in our community should feel forgotten during the holidays.

Across our region, hundreds of seniors live alone, many without family nearby or the resources to celebrate the season. They are among the most vulnerable in our community, and this year, we are coming together to bring comfort, companionship, and joy to more than 300 seniors who may otherwise spend the holidays in isolation.

Through the Love Thy Neighbor initiative, we invite individuals, families, and organizations to be part of something meaningful — something that reminds our seniors that they are seen, valued, and cherished. By donating warm, thoughtful gifts, contributing financially, or volunteering your time, you help wrap each senior in the love and hope they deserve.

This isn’t just a holiday event. It’s the start of a tradition — one rooted in kindness, dignity, and the spirit of giving. Together, we can brighten the season for those who need it most and build a stronger, more connected community.
